We study how people interact with digital systems, designing intuitive and natural interfaces that improve user experience, efficiency and satisfaction in daily technology use.
The Mobile Group's research spans computer networks, smart mobility, HCI and digital A11y. We work on next generation networked systems such as vehicular and drone networks, multimedia delivery, cloud gaming and 5G/6G architectures, while creating accessible and inclusive technologies for web, mobile and immersive environments.
Our goal is to make systems robust, energy-efficient, and secure, ensuring digital experiences remain usable, safe and equitable for all.
We design human-centred systems addressing real societal needs. Our research spans accessible interaction, VR/AR for education, serious games for health, safe communication tools and privacy-respecting platforms. We also leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance accessibility auditing.

Our new paper titled "NumbersPlayRoom VR: a serious game for supporting numerical cognition in primary school children" has been published in the Q1 journal Virtual Reality by Springer Nature. The study explores an immersive VR serious game designed to support the learning of fundamental numerical skills in primary school children, including those with learning difficulties.
Starting November 1st, a member of Mobile LAB will officially begin their PhD in Brain, Mind & Computer Science.
On May 16, our research group will take part in the international May12 โ Celebrating Women in Mathematics initiative with โInformatiche per un giornoโ, a hands-on workshop designed for primary school girls to introduce them to the world of computer science in a creative and engaging way.
